Frozen water (ice) is lighter than water, which is why ice floats in water.


The Vista Irrigation District Board of Directors has declared a Level 2 Water Conservation condition and has implemented mandatory water conservation measures. Customers must water landscaping on assigned days before 10 AM or after 6 PM, eliminate irrigation run-off, not wash down driveways or sidewalks and repair leaks within 72 hours of being notified by the District.   Click here for more information about mandatory water conservation measures.
